Puffed Pastry Baked Brie

The holiday season means hanging out with family and friends. In this video, I will show you how to make an Easy Holiday Appetizer, a brie en croute recipe. We are going to bake brie in a puff pastry.

Brie En Croute Frequently Asked Question:

Do you take the rind off of brie cheese before baking?

A note about the rind: I did not cut the rind off before baking. It is completely edible, and you don't detect it much after your brie is baked. When I'm gobbling up brie unbaked, I sometimes trimmed the rind merely because I don't enjoy it.

How do you eat brie en croute?

Brush the outside of the brie en croute with egg wash.

Add your preferred jam and nuts.

Cover the brie en croute in a puff pastry.

Bake: Cook for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Cool and serve: Transfer brie en croute to a sterilized work surface or serving dish and allow to cool down for 5-10 minutes. Serve with fruit biscuits and artisanal bread.

Can you reheat brie en croute?

Reheating Leftover Brie En Croute.  If you have leftovers, you can loosely wrap it in aluminum foil and reheat it in a 350 ° F oven for about 10 to 15 minutes until the brie is runny again and the puff pastry is warm.
